CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL), Bengaluru, a premier research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for the recruitment of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Junior Stenographer (JST) positions on direct recruitment basis. ✅ Age Limit:
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Not exceeding 28 years.
- Junior Stenographer: Not exceeding 27 years as on 20th May 2025.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), 10 years for PwBD (UR), 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST), 13 years for PwBD (OBC), 3 years for Ex-Servicemen (after deducting military service), up to 35 years for Widows/Divorced Women (40 years for SC/ST), and no age limit for CSIR departmental candidates, as per GoI/CSIR rules.
✅ Pay Scale:
- Junior Secretariat Assistant: Pay Level 2 ₹ 19900 - 63200/-
- Junior Stenographer: Pay Level 4, ₹ 25500 - 81100/-
✅ Educational Qualifications:
(1) Junior Secretariat Assistant (Gen/S&P/F&A): 10+2/ Matric + XII or equivalent with proficiency in computer typing speed (English: 35 w.p.m., Hindi: 30 w.p.m.) and knowledge of MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
(2) Junior Stenographer: 10+2/ Matric + XII or equivalent with proficiency in stenography (80 w.p.m. dictation, transcription: 50 min for English, 65 min for Hindi).
(3) All qualifications must be from recognized Universities/Institutes. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must upload supporting documentation.
✅ Selection Process:
✔️ Junior Secretariat Assistant: Competitive Written Examination (Paper-I: Mental Ability Test, Paper-II: General Awareness & English Language) and Proficiency Test in Computer Typing (qualifying in nature).
✔️ Junior Stenographer: Competitive Written Examination (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language & Comprehension) and Proficiency Test in Stenography (qualifying in nature).
✔️ Tests will be conducted in Bengaluru or other cities as decided by CSIR-NAL.
✅ Application Fee:
✔️ ₹ 500/- for General and OBC candidates (per post).
✔️ Exempted for SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen candidates.
✔️ Fee must be paid online via State Bank Collect and E-receipt uploaded with the application.
✅ How to Apply:
➢ Eligible candidates must apply online through the official CSIR-NAL website (recruit.nal.res.in) from 16th April 2025 (9:00 AM IST) to 20th May 2025 (5:00 PM IST).
➢ Read the detailed notification and instructions carefully before applying.
➢ Complete the application in three steps: (i) Registration, (ii) Fee Submission (if applicable), (iii) Application Submission.
➢ Upload a recent passport-size color photograph (max. 50 KB), signature (max. 50 KB), and a merged PDF (max. 5 MB) containing: Date of Birth proof, 10th/12th certificates & mark sheets, application fee receipt (if applicable), caste/category/EWS/PwBD/ESM/Sports Quota certificates, ID proof, higher education certificates, experience certificates, and No Objection Certificate (if applicable).
➢ Candidates applying for multiple post codes must submit separate applications and fees for each.
➢ Download and retain a hard copy of the application with enclosures for future reference; do not send hard copies to CSIR-NAL unless requested.
➢ Candidates in CSIR/Govt./PSUs must upload a No Objection Certificate from their employer.
