(1) A 4-year B.Sc. Degree in Nursing from an Institute or University recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or Medical Faculty, or a 2-year B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic). The candidate must be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council. [OR]
(2) A Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (G.N.M) from an Institute/Board/Council recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Additionally, the candidate should have two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification. The candidate must also be registered as a Nurse & Midwife with the State/Indian Nursing Council.

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) will have a duration of 2 hours and will be worth 100 marks. It will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), as follows:
- 80% of the questions will pertain to the Theory of Nursing knowledge.
- 20% of the questions will relate to the Practical application of Nursing work, with 10% of them focusing on COVID-related tasks.
- There will be no negative marking.
- The examination will be conducted in both English and Hindi languages.
