Indian Navy Musician Recruitment 2017 Sailors for MR Musician

The Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried Male Indian Citizens for enrolment as Sailors for MR (Musician) - 02/2017 Batch. The last date for receipt of applications is 19th May 2017.

Candidates should have been born between: 01 Oct 1996 to 30 Sep 2000 (Both dates inclusive). Age Relaxable in case of Candidate with higher Musical Ability.

Pay and Allowances:

(a) During the initial training period, stipend of ₹ 5700/- pm will be admissible and on successful completion of initial training an amount equal to the minimum of scale as mentioned below, less stipend already paid, shall be admissible with retrospective effect.
(b) On completion of initial training, they will be placed in the Pay Band ₹ 5200-20200. In addition they will be paid Grade Pay @ ₹ 2000/- plus MSP @ ₹ 2000/- plus DA. (being revised as per 7th CPC).

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the 10th standard (Matriculation examination).

Musical Ability: Selection on Merit basis only. Should have proficiency in Aural Aptitude and basic knowledge in Theory of Music including Staff Notation. Should also have actual practical skill on any instrument of Indian or foreign origin.

Selection Process: Screening Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Medical Examinations.

Examination Centres: Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Kochi, Visakhapatnam.

How to Apply: Eligible Interested candidates apply in the prescribed application format (A4 Size Paper). Candidates who send more than one application for the same entry or apply for more than one examination centre will be disqualified. Completed applications should be addressed to the Commanding Officer, (for Director of Music) INS Kunjali, Colaba, Mumbai -400 005 on or before 19/05/2017 (For candidates of North East, J&K, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshdweep & Minicoy Islands - 29/05/2017).
