Educational Qualification and Experience:
Information Technology and Assistive Technology Educator ->
(1) Bachelor Degree in Arts/ Commerce/ Science/ Law Management from recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(2) Two Years experience of work in the field of Computer Application for the Blind.
(3) Knowledge of working with JAWS Hardware and Software Maintenance.
Lecturer ->
(1) M.A./M. Sc. With B. Ed. (Special Education) from a recognized University or Equivalent; or
(2) M.A./M. Sc. With B. Ed. from a recognized University or Equivalent; and Diploma in Special Education in Teaching Visually Impaired Children (Recognized by RCI).
(3) Minimum Two years expenence of teaching the visually impaired. Proficiency in Bharti and Standard English Braille (Grade II) and in use of special equipment and assistive devices required forthe education of the visually impaired.
Computer Instructor ->
(1) Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum one year Diploma in Computer applications and programming Skills including knowledge of popular screen reading softwares and hardwares for Braille Printing.
(2) One year experience as Computer Instructor / Teacher of Visually Handicapped.
Mobility Instructor ->
(1) Degree from recognized university.
(2) Certificate/ Diploma of training in O & M Instructors of the Visually Handicapped at a Course recognized by the Govt of India.
(3) At least 3 years experience of imparting training in O & M.
Trained Graduate Teacher (English) ->
(1) Second Class Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subject and in aggregate including elective and language in the combination of subject as under:- For TGT (English) - English as an elective subject at Degree level.
(2) Four years integrated course in special Education for Visual Impairment from a recognized University or equivalentwith 50% marks inthe concerned subject (OR) Diploma in Teaching the Visually Impaired (Secondary Level) or B. Ed. Special Education
(Visual Impairment).
(3) Proficiency in Bharati and Standard English Braille Grade.
SUPW Teacher ->
(1) Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum one year Diploma in Computer applications and programming Skills including knowledge of popular screen reading softwares and hardwares for Braille printing.
(2) One year experience as Computer Instructor/ Teacher of Visually Handicapped.
Teacher (Braille Development) ->
(1) Graduate in Art/ Science/ Geography/ Maths as one of the Subject in Graduation.
Diploma in Teaching or equivalent.
(2) Two years experience as Teacher preferable in any Insttt. For the blind or Diploma in Teaching the Blind.
Typing Instructor ->
(1) Matriculation or equivalent examination.
(2) Typing speed in English or 40 words per minute.
(3) Typing speed in Hindi of 30 words per minute.
(4) Two years experience of teaching Hindi and English Typewriting on computer.
Braille Instructor ->
(1) Bachelor Degree from a recognized University.
(2) Diploma in Special Education (Visual Impairment).
(3) Proficiency in Standard English Braille and Bharati Braille Hindi.
Technician Grade II ->
(1) High School or Equivalent.
(2) Certificate of NCVT in the trade of Carpenter/ Fitter with two years experience in Tool Room Work.
Application Fee (non refundable): A Demand Draft (DD) of ₹ 200/- for General and OBC, ₹ 100/- for SC / ST and Ex-serviceman drawn in favour of the Director, NIVH, payable at Dehradun must accompany with the application without which the application will not be considered. Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from above fee.
