Indian Air Force Recruitment Rally Kerala 2015 Airman in Group X, Y

Indian Air Force Recruitment Rally for Group X (Technical) and Group Y (For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police) Trades at 14 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force, Kakkanad Kochi (Kerala) from 26th March 2015 to 3rd April 2015. IAF offers opportunities for Unmarried Male Indian Citizens from the designated Districts of State of Kerala and Union Territories of Mahe & Lakshadweep to become airmen.

Registration Schedule: All eligible candidates are required to fill the Registration Form (typed on A4 size paper) format and report to registration venue along with duly filled registration format and original documents. Candidates from the Districts of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Wayanad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Kasargod, UTs of Mahe & Lakshadweep will be eligible for registration for group 'Y' (Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)) Trades. Candidates from the districts of Ernakulam, Wayanad, Malappuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Thrissur, Kasargod, UTs of Mahe & Lakshadweep will be eligible for registration for Group 'X' TRADES. Eligible candidates will be given specific date, time & venue for reporting and appearing in selection process. The Registration for the Recruitment Rally will be done at 14 Airmen Selection Centre, Air Force, VII/302-B, Vayu Sena Road, Kakkanad, Kochi (Kerala) as per the following schedule.

Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 August 1995 to 30 November 1998 (both days inclusive). Upper age limit on date of enrolment is 21 years.

Educational Qualifications:

(A) For Group 'X' (Technical) Trades ->

(1) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics and English, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. (OR)
(2) Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science /
Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in overall aggregate
and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course or in Intermediate / Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course.

(B) For Group 'Y' (For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)) Trades ->

(1) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. (OR)
(2) Passed Two years Vocational Course affiliated/recognised by CBSE / State Education Boards / Councils duly recognised at par with 10+2 by Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

Medical Standards:

(a) Chest - Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(b) Weight - Proportionate to height and age.
(c) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(d) Hearing - Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(e) Dental - Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(f) Health - Candidate should be free from medical or surgical deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
(g) Body Tattoo - Permanent body tattoos on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), Back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes only are permitted. However, right to decide on acceptability/ unacceptability of the individual rests with the Selection.

Pay & Allowances: During training, a stipend of Rs. 11,400/- per month will be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Grade Pay, Military Service Pay (MSP), Group 'X' Pay {applicable for Group 'X' (Technical) Trades only} and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-

(a) Group 'X' (Technical) Trades - Rs. 24,900/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 43,940/- per month (approximately).
(b) Group 'Y' (For Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor and Indian Air Force (Police)) Trades - Rs. 20,500/- per month (approximately) which, in subsequent years, may rise up to Rs. 38,720/- per month (approximately).

Selection Process: Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Interview and Medical Examination.
