Educational Qualifications:
(1) A Degree preferably in Science from a recognized University.
(2) Advanced Diploma of National Fire Service College, Nagpur. (OR) Bachelor of Engineering (Fire) from a recognized University. (OR) Graduate ship Examination of the Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) or equivalent. (OR) Having passed Membership Examination of the Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) or equivalent
(3) 5 Years experience in civil/defence fire service, out of which at least 3 years
experience should be in the capacity of Station Officer or equivalent.
(4) Desirable: Possession of heavy vehicle Driving License.
Physical Standards:
Male ->
Height - 165 cms. (Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of candidates belonging to hilly areas i.e. Garhwalls, Gorkhas, or candidates belonging to Northeastern States, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and member of the Schedule Tribes).
Chest - 81 cms. Unexpanded and 86 cms. Expanded (Fully expanded with minimum of 5 cms. Expansion)
Weight - min. 50 kgs.
Female ->
Height - 157 cms. (Relaxable by 2.5 cms in the case of candidates belonging to hilly areas i.e. Garhwalls, Gorkhas, or candidates belonging to Northeastern States, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir and member of the Schedule Tribes).
Chest - There shall be no minimum requirement of chest.
Weight - 46 kgs.
Medical Standards:
(1) Better eye - 6/6 (Eligible vision - 6/6 only ) Worse eye - 6/12
(2) Colour Vision - No colour blindness The candidate must not have knock-knee, flat feet, squint eyes and stammering. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect.
