The Coir Board (Government of India) Applications in the prescribed format for filling up following posts for appointment under the Board during the next 3 year period with effect from the date of publication of the Rank List. The vacancies in respect of different posts as per the existing estimation are as shown against each post. But the additional vacancies likely to arise during the above period will also be filled in from this panel subject to reservation rules. The last date for receipt of application is 7th August 2014.
About: Coir Board is a statutory body established by the Government of India under the 'Coir Industry Act 1953 (45 of 1953)' for the promotion and development of the coir (coconut fibre) industry in India. The head office of the Coir Board is in Kochi.

Qualifications:
Scientific Assistant (Engineering) -> First or Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR First or Second Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years experience in running or maintenance of textile processing or machinery or equipment.
Assistant -> First or Second Class Graduate.
Junior Stenographer -> SSLC (Matriculation) or equivalent with 100 words per minute in Shorthand and 40 w.p.m. in typewriting.
Junior Auditor -> A Degree from a recognized University with two years experience in the accounts branch of a public or private sector under taking.
LDC -> SSLC (Matriculation) or equivalent. 30 w.p.m. in typewriting essential.
Hindi Typist -> SSLC or equivalent examination with typewriting in Hindi. Desirable - Knowledge of Hindi Stenography.
Training Assistant -> SSLC (Matriculation) or equivalent. A pass in the Advanced Training Course conducted by the National Coir Training and Design Centre.
Machine Operator -> ITI certificate (Electrician or Fitter).
Helper -> A pass in the Training Course of not less than six months duration conducted by the National Coir Training and Design Centre, with three years experience in dyeing.
Application Fee: Sl.No.1 & 2 will be Rs.100/- and Sl.No.3 to 9 will be Rs.50/-. No fee is payable by SC, ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen and female candidates. The fee is to be remitted in the form of Demand Draft only drawn on any Bank, payable at Ernakulam in favour of Secretary, Coir Board, Kochi.
