Naval Component Commander, Andaman & Nicobar Command, Port Blair invites applications on the prescribed format from eligible Indian National candidates for filling up Civilian Motor Driver, Fire Engine Driver and Fireman in Naval Units under HQ Andaman & Nicobar Command. Age Limit: 18 to 25 Years (Age Relaxation as per Govt Rules).

Educational Qualifications:

Civilian Motor Driver ->

(1) Matriculation Pass or ITI equivalent from a recognized Board/Institution.
(2) Must possess a valid Driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMV).
(3) Must have at least one year practical- experience in driving Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMVs).
(4) Desirable - Knowledge of first line maintenance.

Fire Engine Driver (FED) ->

(1) Matriculation Pass or ITI equivalent from a recognized Board /Institution.
(2) Must have at least three year practical experience in driving HMVs and to be in possession of valid driving license.
(3) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties and must have passed the Endurance Test.
(4) Desirable - Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types
of fire appliances.
(5) Experience of having worked on a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade-I or Senior Fireman.
(6) Should have passed the general fire fighting course of Defence
Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or Sub- Officers
course from the National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar
recognized course.

Fireman ->

(1) Must have passed Matriculation or ITI equivalent examination from recognized board or institutions.
(2) Must be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties
and must have passed the Endurance Test.

Physical Standards: [Fire Engine Driver and Fireman]

(1) Height (without shoes) - 165 Cms provided that a concession of 2.5 Cms in height shall.be allowed for members of the Scheduled Tribes.
(2) Chest (Un-expanded) - 81.5Cms.
(3) Chest (on expansion) - 85 Cms.
(4) Weight - 50 Kgs (Minimum).

Endurance Test: [Fire Engine Driver and Fireman]

(1) Carrying a man (fireman lift) of 63.5 Kgs to a distance of 183 meters
within 96 seconds.
(2) Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet (Long Jump).
(3) Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
