Government of India, Ministry of Water Resources invites applications for filling up of the statutory posts of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Financial Adviser by deputation (including short-term contract) failing which by contract appointment of retired officers in the Brahmaputra Board, Guwahati - a statutory body established under the Brahmaputra Board Act of Parliament (46 of 1980). The Brahmaputra Board functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Vice Chairman

Officers retired as Chief Engineer or held analogous post in the Pay band-4 with pay scale of Rs.37400 - 67000 plus grade pay-Rs. 10000 with at least one year of regular service in that grade and possessing the educational qualifications and experience prescribed for deputation (including short term contract) or retired All India Service officers who were holding the post in the Pay band-4 with pay scale of Rs.37400 - 67000 plus grade pay of Rs. 10000 in Central Government or State Governments with one year experience of working in Water Resources Department.

Financial Adviser

Officers who retired in the scale of pay of pay band -4 with pay scale of Rs.37,400 - 67,000 plus grade pay Rs.10,000 in regular service and possessing the desirable qualifications as required for deputation including short term contract and having experience of handling financial matters in Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking or Statutory or Autonomous Body under Central Government or State Governments.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 58 Years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
