Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Professor Economics –>

(1) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
(2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D.  Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for requirement and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
(4) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

University Librarian ->

(1) A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations.
(2) At least Thirteen Years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or Eighteen Years experience as a College Librarian.
(3) Evidence of innovative Library service and organization of published work.
(4) Desirable - A M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/ achieves and manuscript - keeping.
(5) A minimum Score (from Category - III - 400 score) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out as per UGC Regulation.

Deputy Librarian ->

(1) A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and consistently good academic record.
(2) Five years experience as an Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.
(3) Evidence of innovative Library service and organization of published work and professional commitment, computerization of Library.
(4) Desirable - A  M.Phil/Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation/ achieves and  manuscript-keeping/computerization of Library.
(5) A minimum Score (from Category - III - 300 score) as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out as per UGC Regulation.

Assistant Librarian ->

(1) A Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of Library.
(2) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.
(3) However, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the "University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Director of Physical Education/College Director of Physical Education & Sports.

Application Fee: Rs.400 + Rs.60 (Bank Charge) = Rs. 460/- For Open Category candidates; Rs.200 + Rs.60 (Bank Charge = Rs.260/- For Reserved category candidates. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying application fee.

How To Apply: Candidates should apply online on or before 13/03/2014 and then print the form along with the SBI Challan and pay the fees in State Bank of India. Attach attested copies of the necessary documents & fee paid challan copy to the printout of the filled application. The Candidate should send the printout of the "online filled" application form along with all enclosures to "The Registrar, SNDT Women's University, Establishment Section, Churchgate, Mumbai- 400020" on or before 24/03/2014.
