Indian School of Mines Jobs 2012 NMDC Chair Professor

ISMIndian School of Mines (Declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 vide Notification No. F.11-4/67-U3 dated 18th September, 1967 of the GOI) An Autonomous Institution of Government of India funded by MHRD. ISM invites applications from Indian Nationals and or nomination from Research Laboratory/Academic Institutions/Industries for the following position of Chair Professor established through an endowment by National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC).

PB-4 (Rs. 67,000 Basic) + AGP Rs.10,000/- + DA + Allowances as admissible as per rules of ISM (OR) Rs. 1,45,625/- p.m. whichever is lower.

Qualification and Experience: Ph.D with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch of engineering with a very good academic record throughout. Minimum of 10 years experience, of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor. (OR) An outstanding Engineer/Technologist working in industry with established reputation and who has made significant contribution to knowledge but not having Ph.D degree.

How To Apply: Prescribed application forms may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), ISM, Dhanbad -826 004 by sending a crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, ISM, along with a self addressed stamped (Rs.50/-) envelope of 30cmx12cm size. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying any application fee. Candidates if called for personal discussion with Selection Committee, will be reimbursed to & fro railway fare limited to 2nd AC by the shortest route. Completed application form and submitted with necessary fees to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad -826 004. The last date for receipt of application is 28th September, 2012.
